About Us

Radar Archive was set up to allow access to historical material about the development of early Radar. The Radar Archive currently holds Radar related photographs and films from World War II era. The material is from the collection of Douglas Fisher, who was a director/cameraman with TRE where much of Radar development took place. Sadly, Douglas Fisher died in June 2007 aged 85.

Until now much of this material was only available to authors, publishers and programme makers. Many of the books on early Radar used pictures from the Douglas Fisher collection. Videos of some of the training films were also made available to Radar enthusiasts.

This website is set up as a resource site for those who are interested in early Radar development and who need pictures of WWII equipment and personalities. Some of the films are now available on DVD (or VHS if required). This library of DVDs will be added to in due course.

There is a large collection of material and we will be adding web access to this as it is scanned and catalogued. We will have a searchable database of material held by us and hope to be able to provide links to other libraries of material.

Of course your comments on our website would be much appreciated, please send to feedback@radararchive.com
